THE PLOT:

An Arab extremist unleashes an ancient evil known as the Manticore in order to destroy all non-believers and unit the Arab against the infidels. But he looses the control medal and the beast goes out of control.

Meanwhile in Kuwait, a soldier troop is sent to rescue a missing reporter who went where she wasn't suppose to in order to get a story. Now the soldiers are targets and the question is how can you kill what cannot die?

ZEDD'S OPINION:

Okay, the concept works and it's a case of "I hope not" story, as in, is this story possible, I hope not. Anyway, the acting was good, the cast does a great job. The effects were good, not perfect. The design of Manticore is my only real complaint, being part lion I always thought they'd be hairier then it was. 8 STARS!

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd but there was some minor matting issues with the creature effects, like in this one scene when the Manticore fires his stinger which was wicked cool, but the stingers embeds themselves in the door and they were slightly too light. So for me, 7 STARS.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ CREATURE DESIGN (Not perfect but cool.)
+ CAST (The cast is great in the roles they are in.)
+ STORY (The story works.)
+ ACTING (The cast gives good performances.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- MINOR CREATURE DESIGN ISSUES (ZEDD thought the Manticore should have had more hair.)
- MATTING ISSUES (VOLTRON noticed some matting issues with the CGI.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't a fan of anything to do with the Iraq war of monsters of Myth, then this isn't for you.)
