THE PLOT:

A richman and his gold digging wife takes four hunters and four strangers to a remote island. The strangers have one thing in common, they were all convicted of a crime and was convicted but got off on a technicality. But on this island the hunter becomes the hunted for on this island lies a creature believed only to exist in myth, the legendary Hydra. The question becomes will any of them escape alive.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

The Hydra works for the most part, the blowing a head off and two more grows back is perfect. Now I got to admit, there are some story and character issues that bugged me. Were they really expecting to take home trophies of the criminals, I mean where would they hang them that would land them in jail for murder? Second, Gwen should have had a better lawyer, self defense is always better for an abusive husband over temporary insanity. I give HYDRA 7 STARS.

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

Okay, I agree with what Zedd said about the movie. But I have some more to add, the story did work in a twisted way and the two leads are good characters and I love the first mate, Mister Winters. But besides the slight story and character issues I also have to point out the fact that I think they made the Hydra's teeth too big, plus there were some matting errors where the Hydra was discolored from the rest of the action. But for the most part it was better then average and deserves 6 STARS.

ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):

+ STORY (For the most part it works.)
+ CAST (The cast does to a great job.)
+ HYDRA (Scary.)
+ HYDRA MYTH (Perfect.)
+ MISTER WINTERS (We both liked the first mate of the ship.)

ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):

- SLIGHT STORY ISSUES (What were they expecting to do with the bodies after killing them? Stuffing them like deer?)
- SLIGHT CHARACTER ISSUES (A lot of ***holes in this one.)
- MATTING ISSUES (The Hydra wasn't blended perfectly, a problem Cinetelefilms seems to do allot.)
- SLIGHT DESIGN ISSUE (The teeth on the Hydra is slightly too big.)

...AND FINALLY...

- FAN BASED (If you aren't a fan of living myth monsters or men hunting men for sport, then this is not the movie for you.)
